Who exactly is Anita?
Anita is a young adult emerging artist who has been 'practicing' art since she could hold a pencil. It was when she got to year 10 in high school that Anita realised she'd filled 7 sketch books and the margins on her school books that she thought about continuing in the area.
For her final year of high school in 2010 Anita took on the brave task of four folio subjects. She aced them all with good grades, but wished she'd put more into her work. In 2011 she attended Brighton Bay: Art, Design, and Photography course (which has now unfortunately closed) where she once again aced it and got the 'Bright Star' encouragement award to continue with art. |
In 2012 she started at Swinburne University doing a Diploma of Costume Design, but found that the course wasn't for her. She worked in retail and on her art for the rest of the year before returning to Swinburne University in 2013 but for a Diploma of Visual Art.
The course had many different subjects but the photography and sculpture classes stuck with Anita the most. From there she's been moving on and upwards. She currently co-owns and runs Australia's first cosplay magazine, Thrill, with her good friend Edward Felix.
And as well as being a artist of many trades Anita is also a photographer and works under the name 'Anita G Photography'
